Gentlemen:

\J	I am writing to support the application of Dr. Yorick Wilks of this 
Laboratory for a National Research Council travel grant to attend the IFIP
Congress in Stockholm next summer.

	Dr. Wilks has worked here for over two years on a project concerned with
the computer understanding and translation of natural language.  He has published
a book and a number of papers on that project and the subject in general and is,
in my opinion, an appropriate person to receive support in order to present a paper
at the IFIP Congress.\.
